Hybrid Decor is our unique offering for clients in need of new furnishings and decor. Our clients have two purchasing options - A) The DIY option of purchasing items at their leisure. WDH will curate and source goods from our local wholesalers and retailers, then we provide purchase links to the client, or B) Woods Design House can order your selected items, track their shipments and have them delivered to your home.
Our Hybrid Décor services begin with the Initial Design Consultation where we will combine the information from that meeting with your personal design style and our expertise, to curate a personalized furnishings and decor plan, plus anything else you'll need to complete the design for your room(s). The following is included in your personalized design plan:
STEP 1: INITIAL DESIGN CONSULTATION
Our decorator will walk through your home and assess your decor needs, discuss budget and timeline, create the scope of work to be completed and ask many questions to gather your design style, color preferences and materials that will make your home complete from top to bottom. While we need to see the problem areas in your home so they can be addressed, we do need the home picked up and relatively clean for this visit so we can take photos and measure every corner where needed.
STEP 2: SPECIFICATION OF DECOR
This is where we will specify the decor, or the "pretties" as we like to call them. Specification of decor includes selections like furniture, rugs, artwork, ambience lighting, shelving decor, etc. We then take all of these selections and create beautiful, top-quality color boards to help our clients see the design vision.
STEP 3: PRESENTATION
Once all of your designs are curated to our standard, we will schedule a meeting with you to formally present your cohesive design. At the presentation, you can expect to review your decor selections displayed on a perfectly organized + clean color board. We believe this service is truly essential before beginning any project and allows you to visualize the materials together on color boards.
STEP 4: REVISIONS
After your design presentation, we collaborate with you to ensure you see yourself + your personal style in the designs. When necessary, revisions are made and design documents are finalized.
The Initial Design Consultation averages 1-3 hours, and ranges from $250-$650+ depending on the size and scale of the project.
Ongoing design fees are estimated at time of contract after the Initial Design Consultation.
Once the items are delivered to your home, you can set them up yourself (DIY Option), or Woods Design House can return and style the space for you. Once the room is set and complete, final photos may be taken and the project is finalized.
